    Hi,

    I have a problem with a couple of my systems. They both have a STOP ENTRY and can open positions very EARLY IN THE MORNING. But because at those hours the BROKER (IG) has a MINIMUN DISTANCE quite big from price to set an order, for example in DAX is 10 points, they stop with ERROR because of that quite often.

    If I put a minimun distance of the stop entry to avoid the error the results of the systems go down quite a lot. And the same if the systems don´t open positions at those hours.

    So… any idea to solve the issue?

    Tick the min dist auto-adjust box as shown at red arrowhead, Mmm cant do a screen shot as I have 25 running systems, but it’s on the System start in ProOrder screen.

    If you can’t find it I will post screen shot later.

    Thanks for answering Grahal,

    Have you tried that “auto-adjust box” with any of your systems? Because I did with one of the two systems I was talking about and it didn´t work… it gave error the same so I thought maybe this option wasn´t about that. Does it work for you?

    I will try anyway that option with the second system and see if it works this time

    Have done some testing this “auto adjust” feature

    It works fine on Dax when spread is 1 or 2 but out of hours when spread are 4 or 5 i often get  this  “order rejected by the broker or the market” something

    One way to get around this is to buy at market out of hours and buy at stop 08-22

    While we wait for the IG fix..

    Thanks Eric, It´s a good idea but I already tried and in my system it means the results are quite worse, I guess that as you said we´ll have to wait for the fix but in my past experience with PRT that usually means forever 🙂

    Above is usually NOT for stops set inside the minimum distance.

    I’ve found above usually because my positions size is below minimum.

    In my case the error states clearly that the issue is because of the minimun distance of the broker… in spanish:)

    I haven´t use the autoadjust box with any other of my systems but I haven´t had that problem  with them neither and with the systems that it could help it doesn´t work because of the spread  according to Eric… very useful option for me indeed 🙂

    Nop, I never use the guaranteed stop. Why? Do you think it can help?

    well i always thought that maybe the guaranteed stops box and the auto adjust box must be linked or at least that is how the Terms and conditions read on IG website … as in if we want guaranteed stops we have to agree to let IG adjust the min distance automatically.

    I keep meaning to run the exact same Algo …

    1 With auto adjust not ticked.

    2,  With auto adjust ticked.

    3.  With auto adjust ticked AND  GStop ticked.

    and compare results??

    Jajaja, I didn´t get your “actual” idea was for me to try

    With my system I can tell you already that with the  first option the system gives error and stop.

    Yesterday I have activated it with the “autoadjust” bok ticked, and thats your second option. I will tell you how it goes

    And about the third… I can try if the previous doesn´t work but the truth is it doesn´t have much value for me… I don´t want to use the Gstop option anyway.

    And about the “autoadjust” option if it doesn´t work for this system I don´t see the point neather, I haven´t had the “minimum distance” error with any other system besides this two with stop/earlymorning entryies and with these it seems that “autoadjust” doesn´t solve the problem so… what for I want it???
