Different price between demo on live on FTSE

Hi! I have noticed that the prices on demo and live differ on the ftse. Is there anyone with an explanation to this? I have attached two pictures. One from live with no trade open and one on demo with a trade open. I have taken the screenshot within the same minute and you can clearly see the difference. You can also see that price information is missing on several of the demo account’s candles.

I also experience many problems on my demo account that strategies are stopped for this or that reason what never happens with the same strategies on my live account. I complained to PRT about this and got the answer that they are aware of the problems but that they prioritize the live accounts and don’t have the resources to maintain both properly. :-O

Hi – I’ve also noticed this recently (on FTSE, DAX and HS), the demo prices are different to Live and I emailed IG about the issue together with screenshots. This has the effect of making any backtesting or demo testing less reliable which of course means the usefulness of PRT software is called into question. The reply I got was frankly ridiculous and pretty much the same as Despair received. That is, they are aware that demo and live prices will be different but that they have no plans to correct this as they do not see it as a “bug”, it’s just part of normal day to day operation. Insane.

So, yes treat the prices with caution but unfortunately we have no choice but to live with it as it will not get fixed.

The CAC has dropped out of my demo altogether. There are no share CFDs on it after they disappeared months ago.

i had som big dd on a backtest and when i took a closer look a week in july is missing on dax (live account)

I always double check so that my backtest is correct/matching on both demo and live. Lately I have actually got better prices on my live account but sometimes it’s of course the reversed order.
