Hi all, was just scanning thru some indexes for my new system and noticed this (see photo)
seems like FTSE 100 CASH 1€ is different from FTSE 100 CASH 10£. I’ve always thought the difference was just the contract’s worth, and the underlying markets would all be the same?
Double checked the platform options and i do not have any custom settings on either the markets.
Same code, same variables.
Edit: no stop loss implemented (so theres no “stop $loss 10” or smthn like that)
Edit2: for comparison i added another photo including IBEX + US500 markets with different € contracts and they seem more or less “the same”
adding another photo showing settings.
Edit: its only the € showing different EQ line. both the £ are showing “the same” EQ line (obviously different numbers seeing how its 2 vs 10£ contracts)
Edit2: The US 500 1€ (in photo above) is the same GBL_EUR market. while the US 250$ (also in pic above) is “US” market.. not sure whats up with FTSE..
Edit3: this is live account, not demo.
I’ve always thought the difference was just the contract’s worth, and the underlying markets would all be the same?
Me too! Very worrying what you have exposed!
Deffo you need to send a Technical Report (via Help etc) … esp as the Issue is showing on your Live Account!
Please let us know how you get on?
im just assuming PRT staff will see this post lol
on second thoughts im gonna send a link to this post to PRT, would be nice to know whats up.
Sent one now, will update this thread unless staff does it as soon as i hear smthn 🙂
Hi Jebus, yes I too have noticed this for all 1 dollar/1 pound/1 euro markets. They are all “cfda” markets and the larger denominations all seem to be of a different market type-different abbreviation. In short they are both based on the same underlying market but seem to be different data sets-from different providers? The 1 dollar markets seem to be easier to trade/system build too in most cases ive seen. Smaller denomination also easier for money management options.
