11/08/2017 at 9:56 AM #5189711/08/2017 at 9:57 AM #51898I have a question, as im going thru the code to change amounts of contracts, i see that you have different “buy at market”..
example 1: buy 1 contract at market
example 2: buy at market
example 3: buy 1 shares at market.
Any reason as to why you didnt stick with example 1? 🙂 as far as i can understand you get the same results.. I’ve changed them to example 1 now.
11/08/2017 at 10:15 AM #51903really i’ll delete all small and dangerous trades in code and add in all trades condition if not on market

11/08/2017 at 1:46 PM #51936Hi Juan A.
It is a pity you have closed your account. I hope you didn’t feel insulted or upset for any of the comments.
Personally, I think you have exposed one of the best codes we have seen lately in these forums. I will continue with your last version from 08 NOV and lets see what happens. The numbers are awesome!!! You can’t feel responsable for the personal actions of anyone here, and I do not think anyone will make you feel like this. We have tried hundred of codes from different colleagues, and mostly our owns, and there is no such a thing as 100% success, so no one can’t complain about one or two losses here and there. It is part of the process of improving the codes.
You have already been a good contributor and I believe, and I am sure everyone will agree with me, that our forums will be better and more profitable and creative WITH you than without you.
Please, reconsider your leave,
Un abrazo y esperamos verte de vuelta,
Juan
11/08/2017 at 3:04 PM #5195411/08/2017 at 3:21 PM #51957Good afternoon Juan,
I subscribe every word of Juan Salas.I tell you how I see it. I have been doing this for more than a year now, spending between 3 and 4 hours a day, studying, programming, backtesting and when I think I have something “good” … 75-25%, giving patience to see if it also behaves real all right. Many times, that percentage in Real, gets worse and a lot. But I tell you one thing, for many variables and as you have done the code, we are talking about 100%. First, we must assume that 100% does not exist, but with an 80-20 it is a real success. So congratulations and we hope to see you here because I have seen your code above, and you can try to improve the profit / loss ratio, which is what you throw back.
Another thing and I think it’s because it’s your first code. In the forum there are dozens of codes, not to mention hundreds … here we all know that trading is a battle that we started almost lost. You can not and should not feel guilty because your system loses a day … as if it loses 100 days in a row. We are older to know what we do with our money. And the logical and advisable thing is to look at the system forward a good time and polish it, like the OnMarket of today, you understand me.
So, let’s make this forum, a community where we try to help and continue with your work that is really impressive.
Even if I do not know you, just for what you’ve done, you have a free beer … and if you keep 100% … endless beers! 😉
Greetings from Málaga.

11/09/2017 at 10:40 AM #52073Yes but these 2 losses are for a bad code…check..just typing () will win the first one….there’s many things on code to solve but i think is not system faill is code writing novel fail

11/09/2017 at 10:44 AM #52076Exacto, solo es un error de código… ()
sigue positivo sin fallar todavía.
11/09/2017 at 10:52 AM #52077Hi Juanan,
Welcome back!!!!!! When I said too perfect to be true is that the code seemed very solid and suddenly two losses. No problem at all. It is a great relief that is not a problem with the code but with the writing.
As you can see, many of us felt that you left. We have been trying so many different codes and yours seemed very good and solid. One thing we are curious is that you are starting programming and it seems like you know a lot about it. Your code is a proof that either you have some experience in the markets or you are really creative and smart.
In any case, we are glad you are back, and continue with “filtrado”
Juan
P.S.- I had the code in real and got two losses this morning. The disappointment was not with the losses that are my entire responsibility, but with not knowing what when wrong with the code. Glad that everything is OK now.
