Daily ATR on an hourly chart

  Hi,
  Is there a way I can get Average True Range to operate on a different period to the chart?

  I am coding a system that will run on an hourly chart but want the daily ATR for my position size calculations.

  Does it work if you use …

  Timeframe (Daily, updateonclose)

  myATR = AverageTrueRange[14](close)

  Timeframe (1 Hour, updateonclose)

  If myATR > xx and C1 Then
  Buy at Market
