Create a server based alert with buy/sell-trigger?

    As the title, is it possible to ad this feature in PRT? Currently when you create an alert it´s not saved on PRT´s server, you have to have your computer running, otherwise it`s deleted.

    Is it possible to make it server based so it will trigger a buy/sell order when the computer is off?

    Hello Andy,

    Unfortunately, for the moment it is not possible to create alerts with orders attached that are server-based. So, as you correctly said, the orders will be executed only if your platform is open. If you close your platform, these orders would be deleted.

    However, I take this as a suggestion and I thank you. I have transferred your suggestion to our product management team for future consideration. We regularly add features to ProRealTime based on ideas suggested by our users.

    Hello Ilaria,

    Passing on the suggestion is fine, but just to be sure, I hope you meant this would be in order to create an extra feature “on top of” the existing alert system, not to replace it… Using alerts to trigger orders and then follow them up while platform is open and computer is on is extremely useful, and being sure no order is triggered by alerts when platform is closed is equally useful, I’d hate to see that disappear should the improvement be made as a replacement rather than an addition. So adding the option to have it server-based is fine, but only if we can still have a way to not trigger the alert when platform is closed on our computer for those who use it that way please. Thanks.

    Yes, I meant Andy’s suggestion as an addition to the current system, for the future. In any case, I will pass your comment, too, to our technical team.I understand that you would like both options to be available (both alerts with orders that are server-based and software-based).
