Coding on range bars

  Hi,

  Does anyone know if it is possible to create automated strategy using range bars?

  It does the same as with other indicators, however most cannot be used with Range bars, as many cannot be used with Ticks or Renko. An average yes, the stochastic no, for example. You have to try. If you add an unsupported one, it will change the appearance of the chart (set one compatible with that indicator).

  The new version 11 supports them all.

  Hi,

  Sorry @robertogozzi but even in v11 we (sadly) can’t have strategy on range bar as you can see (even in backtest)

  Hope we can soon because range bar are very powerful

  You are right zilliq, my fault. I did not spot he was talking about automated trading and yesterday someone else asked about indicators so I thought it was the same question.

  Yes, v11 does allow indicators, but NOT autotrading.
