Changing Daily Candle Open and Close Times

    I’ve posted this question in General Trading Forum but that may not be the right place for it as I’ve had no answers so I’m trying on here. Sorry for the duplication.

    I’m testing a strategy based on daily candles. This obviously means that any bets are opened at the open of the next candle at midnight UTC (I am UK based). IG vary their spreads meaning that opening a bet at midnight might not be cost effective if that particular market is not open at midnight. How can I change the daily candles time so that for example they open and close at 0800 UTC and not midnight. I have tried to do this in the Options/Platform Options/ Time Zones and Trading Hours but without any success. Can anyone help me with the required settings or am I trying to do the impossible?

    Thanks for that link David. I had not found those posts as I have no idea how to search posts on the PRT forum. Where is the search box!!! Up till now I’ve just been Googling with PRT in the search box!

    Either front page of prorealcode.com just below the prorealcode logo… or for faster access not requiring to go back to front page, on this current screen hovering the mouse over your avatar in top right corner makes a drop down menu appear, first line is the search PRC forums box

    Thanks noobyWan! Search box very light in colour so difficult to spot on drop down from Avatar – or maybe I just need new glasses!

    Vonasi I agree. It’s hard to see the search box and it should be always present in the header of the site.
