Re poor vision … get yourself a pair of pinhole glasses, link below … I use mine 100% of the time I am looking at my screen and even watching tv if my eyes feel tired!
Takes a few minutes to get used to using, as in focus on the screen not on the holes in the glasses. I’ve had folks in work with astigmatism, take their glasses off and try my pinholes and they’ve been astounded! They say they can see the screen better with my pinhole glasses than with their prescription glasses!
(I don’t need glasses for driving etc and I use +1.5 for reading (low strength) … in case you think I’m blind.)
Re helping a blind person to trade … possible if they’d traded successfully before going blind. Would need a lot of dedication if not?

I just had a think and if I ever couldn’t see the screen etc I might concentrate more on Autotrading! 🙂
Might sound daft, but I would retain all the knowledge I currently have re coding and with text to speech and speech to text Apps I still might be able to code or at least modify existing strategies. Also backtesting etc would be feasible with a bit of help from my lovely grandson! 🙂
I do manual trade a lot (successfully) but if somebody was to ask me why I just took that trade, most times I reckon I be hard pushed to verbally state exactly why? So to trade manually if my eyesight was gone would seem near impossible?
So get coding shug!! 😉
It can be a bit exciting, for example I set up 5 versions of broadly the same strategy yesterday (2 Long only, one Short only, 2 combo’s etc) and set them going in Demo last night. What sprung me out of bed this morning was the thought … I wonder how those 5 strats are doing, if anything??
I half expected 2 or 3 to be trading at a loss (such is the coders lot! 🙁 ) I just checked again and 1 is trading at a loss, but the other 4 are waiting patiently (not traded yet! ). They are on a H1 timeframe, which is unusual for me as most of mine are on <= M5 TF.
So yeah get coding shug!! There is an Assisted Creation Tool in case you didn’t know? A full operating strategy can be coded using select and click!!

I set up 5 versions of broadly the same strategy yesterday
It’s 6 versions (not 5) and 5 are Long now on DJI as of 10 am UK time.
The Short only version is not trading.
Anyway I’m off Topic … just trying to encourage to prepare for declining eyesight by starting coding now! 😉

After all the trades took for that crazy challenge (500 without a loss) when I got to 550 i see the 99.7% has gone to 100%

I’ve found the same over the years … lots of my Topics ‘died’ after my first 2 or 3 posts. There are just a precious few of us who seem to want to chat, share, make a few laughs while discussing general Topics re Trading.
I guess most folk are at work in the day and in the evening they want to get on and code etc.
I pop onto the Forums many times per day while a trade is idling or I’m eating my lunch etc; I’m always glad of new chatty Topics.
You are good at it, so keep ’em coming shug!
Least we are all a friendly bunch on here not like them Elite Trader lot who deleted your results video … well weird that was!
