Can Brokers see the ProOrder Code/Bot??

  Hi, have been using PRTv11 AutoTrading via IG (Australia) and am wondering about the AutoTrading Function and IF the Broker can see the CODE for the EA/System??

  Say, if someone had a Successful or profitable Trading System. What’s keeping the broker (or someone at the brokerage) from just taking it??

  Are there protections built into ProRealTime v11 to prevent this??

  Also what about the Algo title?  Can IG see the Algo title as readable.

  IG could see that, for example, dozens or even 100’s of users are using the same Algo (from this site or the future Market Place)?

  IG may then consider it worthwhile to reject all Orders during particular price action (top or bottom etc etc) and then we all get the message … Order Rejected by the Broker or the Market.

  IG is also responsible of the climate change, don’t you know? 😆

  IG could of course see your code, if they really want to. Because they know your IG account password, and therefore have full access to anything you have access to. The PRT guys can’t see the codes on their servers, but IG ultimately could. Am I totally wrong ?

  Hello ? Does anyone really believe that IG cannot see anything they would like to see ? If they know your IG password (which they surely do), they can start the Prorealtime platform of your account just like you and me and read anything you can read, too. They don’t need any encryption codes to do that, for sure.

   

  The other question is, why they should do this, because more than 90% of all trading systems of their users are garbage anyway on the long run. Only trading systems of users known for their steady gains and trading with high volumes would be of any interest to them. And for sure, too, they would not be able to manipulate prices against anyone trading in the big indices like DAX, DOW, or to manipulate prices against someone trading with several highly diversified systems at the same time. IG, as any other serious broker, is interested in making money from as many clients as possible by earning high fees. A single trader is rather irrelevant to them, I think.
