Buy and sell under 1 lot sizes

Is it possible to buy or sell under 1 lot size? Lets say i buy 1 lot at market and then want to partially close half that position, 0.5 lot at x price limit. Thanks!

Hi Johan – Yes, that is possible. With 0.5 being the minimum (not sure whether this counts for really all instruments).

Edit : You can also (buy or) sell 0.652 (etc.) lots.

PS: This is only for PRT with IG as broker.

For some reason i cannot buy 0.5 lots on EUR/USD MINI chart but 1.5 works. I can also close 1 of 1.5 lot and have 0.5 lots left and then close it at a later time. But initially buy under 1 lots dont work for me…

For EUR/USD mini, the minimum contract size is 1…

You can check the minimum size on the IG site.
