    Hello,

I’d like to ask if anyone here has experience in automated systems on the non-cash contracts on IG markets. For example, I have built a system that I would like to go live with on their Bund 2€ contract DEC-20.

The question is what happens as that contract expires, do you roll over with an automated system too if you have automatic rollovers enabled? And how is a potential gap handled?

If you see my attached image you can see an enormous gap at Bund 2€ in September 4th this year. Would you lose a lot of money if you had been in a position or is your trade merely closed then a new one re-opened on the new contract?

I think that IG are closing automatically the order, so the ProOrder program will also stop because of external action on his own order.

I’m sure of how it is handled on PRT Software with paper trading, but not with external broker like IG, in this case you should ask them.

So I asked IG support and according to them, the automatic system will transfer in PRT  according to your auto-rollover user settings. However, I’m still not convinced this will be the case so I’ll see what happens on demo account first.

    Thanks
