Breakout trading PRT vs mt4

    Hello guyes, iam new to this forum, and wanted to ask you two questions.

     

    Today, ive got some break out strategys that are  profitable on MT4, however, a good friend to me, that know the basics about programming is telling me that PRT can only take trades on candle opens, is this true?

    Since the break out strategy iam trading is seeking small profits 4-6pips in like eurusd/dax, it woulnd work for me if I need to waite for a 1min candle to be opened before the algo enters the trade.

     

    My second question would be, IF this is wrong, and PRT is just as good in price breakout/scalps as mt4, is the best way for me to start learn programming the videos I can find on this site? I have zero knowledge today about it, and the

    mt4 algo I have, is written by a programmer that I hired for money.

     

    Hope I can get some answers, and sorry if my english isnt the best, now my first langugage 🙂

    If your strategies rely on pending orders, they will be triggered at any time. But, indeed, PRT read code only once at bar close.

    This is not a “problem” anymore since it is now possible to read the code each second while looking at price values on any upper timeframe, with the long awaited multi-timeframe instructions.
