I have seen the code for marubozus (from Nicolas I think) and I would like to have an indicator to show big marubozus. I mean marubozus with a range three times larger than the average of last 30 days. Would it be also possible to have an screener based on that?
Many thanks in advance.
Carlos.
Here we go with this screener code to detect big Marubozu candlestick pattern:
bigmarubozu = abs(open-close)/range>=0.95 and range>=3*average[30](range)
screener[bigmarubozu]
It detects effectively big candlesticks! 🙂
Thank you very much Nicolas. It was easier than expected.
Just a question. I see that the screener filetrs stocks with marubozus throughout their history. Would it be possible to show only ones with marubozus at last or previous time frame (day, week, etc)?
Thanks again.
It should only detect if a Marubozu occurred today. Do you have any example of wrong return of the screener please?
My mistake Nicolas. It works perfectly.
Thanks a lot.
Carlos.
