Hello All. Bit of a Noob question for you all.

I have recently started automatic trading using ProOrder AutoTrading.

After entering a number of positions; I realised I had made a mistake in my code. Without going into detail, this was not something I wanted to occur so have resolved it in the code in a newer version.

I moved the stops accordingly on the positions mentioned above using the IG web interface. As a result the underlying trading system was stopped. I subsequently deleted the system and re-ran it on the shares for which I made the change.

My question: will the system now stop me out as per my original rules (a change in the slope of the moving average) despite the fact that the position was originally opened using another version of the system?

My Understanding is that it responds to the code in the latest version. I presume you stopped and deleted the original one with the incorrect code D

Hello Trendfollower86,   if your system get’s stopped and the positions of this system are not closed they are now just like any other manual trade. You can not start another system and have it take control of already open positions!
