Backtesting on PRT v11.1 (on Mac Os)

    Hi,

    I recently opted to try out PRT and wanted to do some backtesting. I watched a few youtube videos to familiarise myself with the layout etc.

    It seems though I am unable to backtest anything as their is no option to do so on my charts. There doesn’t seem to be a “Indicators & Systems Window” button which allows you to backtest.

    Can anyone advise if they have a similar problem or what the fix is?

    On the bottom left of the chart there is a button that opens a window where you can then select indicator or strategy tabs. You can then also click on the wrench/spanner to access further options for editing and creating them.

    Thanks vonasi,

    Unfortunately I am still unable to backtest.

    I am using the complete version via IG. Is the backtest functionality available on this?

    Yes it should be available.

    How are you unable … describe what the problem is so we can help you?

    How far are you getting, screen shots help so very much in explanation.

    Did you click on the icon as Vonasi said or can you not find the icon even??

    Thanks Guys, I figured it out.
    I am sure I will have further questions but it’s good just to familiarise myself with the system etc.

    The backtesting data doesn’t seem to go that far but I’ll need to look into that further once I have fully delved into everything.
