    Anybody else noticed this anomaly?

Backtest as normal and get Table of Results. No Hard stops in the code and so 0 / Zero showing under Tick Mode.

Click on a row below the top row and the Max Gain showing on the equity curve Y axis is different from the Gain showing in the far left column of the Table (i.e. for the row that was selected).

I tried it a few times and got the same different result and also tried it without tick by tick selected and got the same different result (different result meaning different on the Table than the Equity Curve axis).

My different result was about 10% more in the Gain figure.

Often if there is a trade currently open then the values can be different as the table is closed trades only. The ultimate example of this is if you open a trade and never close it – the table will show a gain of zero but the equity curve will show a value.

You would need a 10% gain on the last open trade so far for this to be the case in your test.

    Spot on Vonasi!

I’m sure I knew that in the past, but thank you for the reminder!

Aha I know why … it’s the weekend / market closed and so the Max Gain figure on the right hand axis on the Chart was fixed whereas in the week it is bobbing about + or – a few points …. this was enough to throw me and I forget about an open trade!

Back to my garden / landscaping job now after a mid afternoon coffee and you back to your hull re-varnishing after a beer! 🙂
