In IG I cannot back test for more than 100,000 bars. However I see some guys here back test for say 200,000 bars. Can this be done in IG?

If you have the premium version of PRT you have more historical data. Look here:

Yes, PRT-CFD is a white label of IG, but with extended features.
strange, I asked IG France about the PRT premium access and they told me only the classic version is available…I tried to negotiate because I knew about this but haven’t manage to get it.
It is the same in sweden. If you go through IG Sweden you only get the classic version. You have to go through PRT directly. Look here:

As far as my experience goes you can not upgrade an existing account that you opened with IG. You really have to open a new one through PRT UK.
Is there anyway/anyone that can do a backtest at 200k bars for you?
Also, if you say that you do shutdown youre ig account and you start a new one through PRT, will that also be free of charge if you do 4 trades/month?

DON’T close your existing IG account!
By all means open a new account with PRT /IG but see the issues Vonasi experienced with a new IG account so you can judge if it’s what you want?

im not going to but thx for the headsup, i got a limited risk account anyway through IG
still, if i want to get a test on 200k bars but only have access 100k is subscribing to premium the only way?
