I have produced a promising trading system that I have backtested using the time unit:10k volumes. However, when I try to prepare the system for autotrading, I get an error saying that I should use a standard timeframe. How best can I circumvent this so that my trading systems runs on the 10k volume parameter rather than the standard timeframe required?

As the message states, it’s not possible to do automatic trading on TF’s other than those time based, so no ticks, no volume, no  renko, etc…

Renko-like trading is only possible  using simulated Renko boxes built with tine-based TF’s.
