Up till now I’ve been using a Proscreener to find valid trades, I’ve set up the screening conditions and I then run it on the full NYSE which is one of the pre-defined lists that PRT provide. On a typical day it’s screening several thousand symbols and bringing up five or six symbols that meet all my conditions and which I currently then manually create trades for. Problem is this takes me about 15 minutes to complete the trade setup, and I have to be at my screen for the market open every day, so I thought why instead not use auto-trading to create the trades for me. But now I’m stuck. In autotrade it’s asking me which symbol I want to run the algorithm on, but I want to run it on the full NYSE to find the 5 or 6 relevant symbols for the day that meet my screening criteria, but it doesn’t seem to allow me to run on lists or groups, just on one single symbol. Anyone know a way to run autotrade on a predefined list? Or build a pro-screener into the algorithm?

It’s not possible for any strategy to deal with multiple instruments.

We all hope this will be available in the future, but now we have only one instrument to trade at a time.
