Hi all,
I’m fairly new to PRT and would greatly appreciate any insights on this.
I’m trying to create an automated trading system that …
1) Screens stocks (say, all “penny stocks” on NASDAQ with Open < $5.00) and
2) runs an automatic trading algorithm on ALL stocks that come out of that screen (or if there is some limit, on the first 50 or whatever).
However, it seems you can only AutoTrade on a single, manually chosen stock, at least with BackTesting and PaperTrading.
Is this really the case or am I just using PRT the wrong way?
I suppose I am trying to combine screener output and the automatic trading system.
If this isn’t possible that would really be inconvenient, but what is the best workaround, screening the stocks of interest and manually starting trading on each of them?
Thanks & Regards,
Falk
Sorry but there is no way to autotrade automatically the results returned by screener. We are all looking froward to get the possibility to trade automatically a universe of stocks based on conditions, but this feature is not available yet. You can ask PRT to implement it by using their suggestions box on their website: https://www.prorealtime.com/en/contact?suggestion=1
Thanks Nicolas, that helps for now by ending the search. It would be an essential feature to have in my opinion, will keep an eye out for it.
Thanks & regards, Falk
Please suggest it to PRT as Nicolas proposed else it is unlikely ever to happen if we don’t ask for it.
I spoke with the friendly PRT rep about it yesterday, is being passed on to development.
