May month has been hard on a few of my systems. Alot of choppy fake breakouts and signals and quick drops down.

June so far has been my best week/month ever so far, and May month was my worst month ever..

Anyone else had trouble in may (talking about Long strategies in stock indicies) and did you do anything, add any filter or smthn or did you all just ride it out like i did?

I really dont like to alter my codes once ive put them live. Adding rules just because u have a bad month/week/day/trade is not the best idea in my head. Of course it depends on the rule and the system and your results! But in general i wanna do as little change in my codes when i first put them live.

I had a good first 3 weeks in May, but then the last week of May was very bad!

My strategies are both Long and Short and all on the DJI.

I haven’t amended my strategies / code, but there are a few I’m considering not running any longer on my pretend Live account. 🙂  I’ll move them to a lower level account.

    Jebus,

That´s funny because my experience has been just the opposite. May has been my best month so far, probably not so many months trading as you though, and the begining of June my worst few days ever!

I guess this is part of the game 🙂

Yes, the last days my index-short positions were the worst and also in eur/usd seems to be always wrong

For every buyer there has to be a seller so if one person is generally long and having a bad month then somewhere there will be one person who is generally short who is having a good month. Meanwhile the broker is always having a good month. Welcome to the world of the bookmaker! Our job is to always be long or short at the right time…. which is easier said than done but we try hard, until we have given most of our money to the bookmaker that is!
