I have been using the trailing stop function, “ptrailing X” in probuilder.
what i have found when i launched my strategy in live is that i had set X to a value less than the minimum stop distance. In this case it was for EURUSD which has a min stop distance of 10 and my system was using 6. The automated trading system automatically adjusted my trailing stops to be set at a distance of 10. I stopped the system and backtested basis 10 and my results are alot worse.
I have been trying to find if there is an equivalent function / script i can use which creates the same effect of having a trailing stop in order to exit the position. i tried using some code i found related to MFE/MAE but this hasnt yielded the same results.
any help appreciated.
There are many different trailing stop codes posted in these forums. I would try putting ‘trailing stop’ in the search box and see what comes up such as this:

Minimum stop distances can be an issue and there was a recent discussion regarding it here:
Pro order big defect
I’m not sure if it has been concluded or whether the issue was due to being on a limited risk account but maybe this is similar to your issue. On a separate note – in my experience running very close stop losses will never result in a profitable strategy.
Many trailing stop script are available on the website. You can find different kind in the snippet link library that our members are keeping up to date: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rgboqj7sVwsP9ZRhOduOefye48QMWC07jWVXCl-KJPU/edit#gid=0
