Hi all, I have PRT with IG for about 3 years now.
I have had a problem for a few months, that i can not sem to resolve. I have about 10 algos running, some are old ones others quite new or iterations of the older ones.
Hoever since about 6 to 8 weeks ago, any instances of algos or even copies of old algos will not trade. They backtest fine, and the backtest confirms that they should have traded. They do not throw any error messages or any indication that they will not trade. I have tried reinstalling PRT, stopping and starting Algos but still no luck. Has anyone any ideas or had similar issues please?
I am running PRT 12, algos have run ok on this version previously. I am UK based so have not been affected by the recent problems between IG and PRT.
Thanks for any help

Min Pos size can change (by IG) and what used to work can stop working and no error messages are seen, Algos just stop taking trades on Live data (but still work on Backtest).

No it can not be that as some algos that are not working are just copies of others that are working with the same position size.
Also trying to run some algos with larger position sizes too

I have not seen that passing by as an “argument”. So how do you know ? did IG tell you this ?
Are you talking Demo or Live ? If Demo then the chance is fair that your instrument changed from e.g. $1 to $100 and you just don’t have sufficient funds (this goes unnoticed and positions will just not be entered). This is a known problem since your “6-8 weeks” (it would be 5 weeks). Whether this same anomaly also affects Live – maybe but I did not hear about that. But then Live trading is problematic anyway since 5 weeks, and possibly not many people have tried since (for example, I did not). And then it is about the combination with the instruments as well, and you could have an unlucky combination.
Can you show us one of the instruments you deem problematic ? Mind you, not “tell” but show. I think best would be like the example below (via the “i” button).

I only say about the UK, as a forum I am in, the only people who did not seem to have any issues lately were in the UK. It is on a live account that has been running fine for about 3 years, yes i have sufficient funds, I have had algos stopped because of insufficient funds before and they always generate an email and through up a fault in the algos running window. All algos affected so far have been on DAX, but thats because that was all i was running at the time.
Highlighted in yellow are the Algos that backtest, but do not run. As you can see, some of these are copies of other algos that run ok. I restarted all of these again on the 7th of October
Highlighted in blue are Algos that run fine and have been running for months
Highlighted in orange are algos I just started, so I have not had time to trade.

In view of above, your problem could well be what PeterSt offered about recent changes (by IG) in Contracts and min pos size etc.
Btw you forgot to add the screenshot you refer to in your post above.
10/08/2025 at 4:32 PM #25235410/08/2025 at 4:38 PM #252358For information … min Pos Size on Dax £1 (UK) is 0.5 per point.
Try increasing your ‘Max Pos’ size to 1 or better still 2.
Those Algos that you show (in your ss) with a max pos size of 0.2 will never trade as the min pos size is on DAX DFB is 0.5.
