Hello everyone,
I am wondering if any of you knows the indicator name/how to set up the net volume change that has happened during a period of time (day/week…) in the chart I am seeing + additional volume changes of other charts I am interested in. Right now I am only able to see the volume accumulation over a period of time and not the changes with respect to 0 (net change).
By doing this I would like to see where the money is going: if there is a huge drop in a company’s stock, did the money go to other stocks or to safer investments like bonds?
For example, what I want is to be able to see the price chart of the QQQ index, while in the lower part be able to see its volume net change from previous days and also the net change in the volume of the Dow Jones Commodity Index and the US Bond Index.
Thank you in advance for all your help!
Have a great day,
Sergio
This code will plot the variation in percent from previous candle to the current one:
return Variation(volume)
This one returns the variation of volume over “period” in volumes:
period = 10
return momentum[period](volume)
This one is the Volume Rate of Change (aka V-ROC):
period = 12
return ROC[period](volume)
this last one is available as a default indicator in your platform (see attached image).

An indicator applied to a chart “works” only for that chart and cannot communicate with other charts. So, when you use a certain indicator for the QQQ index, it cannot communicate or exchange data with the Dow Jones Commodity Index and/or the US Bond Index.
In this case, you will have to use three indicators on the three graphs and start comparing… 😉
