a very odd trade close

  I’m testing a strategy with a PRT demo version linked to an IG demo account and something very strange happened to my trades two days ago: a trade with the pair GBPCAD opened on December 14th at the price 1.68583 has been automatically closed on December 17th at an “impossible” price of 1.12785 (see image attached). Obviously that price has never been touched during the price movement, in fact if you look at a GBPCAD chart on December 17th at 00.42 (my local time, Italy) you surely do not see such price.  If my account were real I would have lost something like 37.000 CAD (about 24.000 Euro)!!!!…..Is there anyone that have similar issues?…Do you think such event could happen with a real money account?

  I would check the tick data and then send a report to IG/PRT via your platform. Maybe there was a weird spike in the demo data. If this had happened in live trading then IG would check the tick data from all their sources and refund you if that price had never really ever been traded.

  Have you ever noticed any similar issue with regular contracts (not MINI ones)?

  Recently I incurred in a couple of errors with different strategies/indicators dealing with MINI contracts (demo account) that did not replicate when dealing with regular contracts.
