Anybody getting this / had this ever or suggest why I am getting it!?
I stopped the 2 Systems which are getting the Rejected message and started them again but still the same.
Reminds me of the old (and famous) “EPIC problems” with IG instruments, but the error message is now more user friendly 🙂

Surely I can’t be the only experiencing this latest nonsense??
So after zeroing / re-starting loads of Systems again after the nonsense of the 260 point spike a few weeks ago, now the latest where a System cannot even close itself because the market is not available online!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have even closed it manually but it continues to trade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How could we ever consider risking real money with such things as this occurring so regular?
Somebody tell me there Systems are functioning okay on DJI OR that you are getting same error messages as me??
Is it just on Demo or Real also??
GraHal – you are lucky, at least your systems are opening trades even if you can’t close them. My end of day/end of week strategies have opened exactly zero trades since 9th August!!! I go to bed and dream that in the morning something will have opened a trade! I am disappointed every day. My new hobby of knitting is going much better. I think I will have a very nice jumper long before any trades have ever opened.
I had the same “market unavailable” problem today too GraHal. Dow AND Brent Crude rejected all of my trades today.
The number of issues is getting a bit silly now.
Perhaps they think we’ll just throw caution to the wind and switch every strategy live!
Since it is related to an IG instrument and in order for PRT to investigate about this issue, please open a support ticket in the platform and refer to this topic. Thank you.

Welcome to my world. As you know I favour end of day and end of week strategies and I have not a single bit of forward test data to analyse since 9th August. I have something in the region of 70 strategies on forward test and to find out how they would have performed for the last month and a half I have to run a back test on each and every one of them – that is a lot of work. Even then I do not have accurate results as varying spread nor slippage is not taken into account accurately in back tests nor is there any overnight fees. It is highly unlikely that I will be putting any of these strategies live based on the IG/PRT demo experience recently which can only be hurting the pockets of IG and PRT.
Forward testing in demo is all about building confidence in a strategy and a platform and the recent experiences are doing the exact opposite as you say.
Today once again no trades opened so I have finished knitting a sleeve for my jumper – a very satisfying hobby in comparison.
Dow Jones should now be back on IG server (since yesterday).
