Hello everyone, I just heard that because of a major technical incident on one of the servers belonging to IG who manage the DEMO accounts, all the automatic trading strategies will be stopped. Therefore, in the context of solving the problem, manual trading is also suspended. Orders already in the market could also be closed. I have no other information at the moment. I will try to keep you informed as soon as I receive new items!
The problem is not about LIVE ACCOUNTS. Only DEMO accounts are concerned.
UPDATE on the issue:
Only the strategies that produced an event (launch or modify of an order for instance) during the server incident will be stopped.
Well it seems that all is back up and running now. On one of my platforms almost all the strategies were stopped. On another that I did not have open at the time of the problem none of them were stopped and on a third platform only two strategies were stopped. It seems that those strategies that had open positions at the time of the stoppage have had the open trades wiped from history completely – as if they were never opened – which is rather annoying as some of them are strategies that do not open positions very often so it is a loss of some important forward testing data and some of them were in a big profit and that has all now disappeared. Having just looked at one of my platforms I see one strategy with an open position in the ‘ProOrder AutoTrading’ window and four strategies with open positions in the ‘Open Positions’ window.
I fear there may be a lot of orphaned trades out there…..
Well, my demo account showed profits of my 3 trades opened today at over £100000. If only I had used my real account. The system is still not right showing orders in grey that I cannot delete. I think I’ll ring technical support.

You must have my profit as I was up over + £1,000 on one System and now I am down – £12,500 on the same System! 🙁
Weird thing if I stop and start it again and hover my mouse over performance then for a brief half a second the correct profit shows in green before it then goes to red / – 12,617 … so the correct data must still be there!?
Maybe / hopefully it will correct itself as otherwise a lot of backtesting time is wasted and I’ve not even looked at other Systems yet!
I confirm that the server is now up and running. Seems that thousands of strategies have been impacted… IG is still investigating the cause of the incident.
It seems that the problems just got fixed. i stopped all systems now and restarted them, so lets see if they get triggered correctly now. also there no grey ghost orders floating around anymore.
