Auto Trade – Manual Trade

    Hi,

    Is it possible to manually adjust a trade that was entered by an automatic trading system, by this I mean add / adjust a SL or TP.

    No, any modification to a trade will make ProOrder to lose control of it.

    I’m not bothered if ProOrder loses control of the trade, when I see my entry conditions are about to be met, I like to use ProOrder to enter the trade as it automatically works out the SL and in tern the position size based on the SL, but I like to manually set my TP. Is there now way to enter a trade  via ProOrder but manually set my TP once the trade is live.

    Yes I do similar often … when the trade is Live (via Auto-System) then go into the IG Platform and make any adjustment you wish to Limits and Stops, but as soon as you click on ‘confirm’ the Auto-Trade ceases to be an Auto-Trade … you have now made it into a Manual Trade from hereon.

    Try out above on Demo first so you don’t lose money by making the wrong setting etc.

    Haha yeah, don’t need any help losing money 🙃.

    Once you’ve made changes on the IG platform and it’s no longer under the the control of the auto trading system, is the trade still displayed in pro real time or is it only visible on the IG platform.

    Only visible on IG Platform and the IG App on your phone … very useful as you can keep an eye on trades  when out and about and also receive push notifications due to price level  alerts and price rise by x % etc.

    A  useful one I have set is 0.1% change over 5 mins! 🙂

    Correct myself … after changes to TP  or SL on PRT Platform … you can still see the trade on PRT just like any other manual trade.
