After few weeks, some trades have decreased the result ratio 1.6 68 winners / 4 losses

i improve the entry for the past two days.. and divide the sl by 2 ,but i included something other than candles to determine uptrend on higher tf

new test in demo for the coming weeks

I had a dream but it will remain a dream..

It’s too hard to have a winning strategy less than M5 timeframe.

Anybody been running this one Live? Backtest looks good!? Spread = 4.

Long period with little gain, but no loss / drawdown either so that’s good!

Hi bertrandpinoy

if you refer to my earlier post with the Smashbar Test Strategy you can try any time unit but I think maby 30m to 1h would be OK . If you are gonna try the strategy I recommend to add a stop loss. It was just a earli test I made and haven’t got time to dig in deeper.

If you make any progress with the strategy please let us know 🙂

After taking few slaps on the crazy markets, I will go to spend time and rework the initial strategy during the next months

Not currently, but I have it in my 4Test Folder … I’ve got loads needing testing, but not enough space to test them since IG culled all our extra accounts! 🙂

IG are the loser (and me! 🙂 ) as I might have more on Real Live if only I could test them for a few months first?

@grahal Why not just set up a new IG SB/CFD demo account? Just need a new email address. I’ve got a couple with PRT running.

Ha … yeah that was what loads of us did also but then one dark weekend IG culled / closed loads of accounts that weren’t trading on Real Live.

IG gave no warning for us to export our coded strategies … left us hopping mad.

Make sure you do 4 trades per month on Real Live that provide at least £30 revenue per month to IG … else a dark weekend may fall your way also! 🙂

How long have you had your ‘extra’ accounts running?
