    hi @Makside,

    if you want i already have codes with patterns it would be interesting to think of a strategy with proximity of pivot point of resistance and support because the effectiveness of a pattern near resistance of a support increases its rate of more than 80% success.
    The most effective patterns are the bullish hammer, the bearish shooting star, the evening star and the morning star. And why not Harami which works better on the forex than on the index!

    Flow 😉

    Thx Florian

    I think too about the power of candle near support and resistance.. %calculation of the ecart between candle and them .  often, candle don’t reach/cross them and the rebond comes…  😉

    also double cross with under and over or over and /under increase too

    another idea which could be added in the hat.. 😉

    The 4 lignes concerns different method called according to several parameters.. for example, long, long+reversalshort, biglong… fixed ATR or dynamic ATR

    the pictures

    • test1 DJI 2$, pos size 1, spread 1.6
    • test2 DJI 2$, pos size 1, pos size 1 spread 6
    • test3 concerns DJI 2$, dynamic pos size according to strategyprofit, spread 1.6

    I just coded short and exitshort

    x = 2 (max level) corresponds to the cumulation of all strategies inludind long & short

    x = 5 only short

    we can clearly see that we are in an uptrend “for the moment”

    i see also that numbers of red or green candles before the pattern may can be a way for all strategies on 1S to confirm more the reversal trend by analysing only candles when candle pattern is detected.

    for example using summation fct

    @Florian,

    what would be good as a strategy around hammer ?

    example, hammer and pivot 5m..

    what TF  of the pivot do you suggest ?

    size of the candle is important because it confirms the power of the candle.

    according to the size, the result changes. currently i don’t use any specific pattern. result 200k.

    i’m waiting first result of the demo this week..

    with small candle size = 1, that confirms nothing, just problems in perspective… 😉

    it’s not the strategy but just a test between demo and backtest around the positions which are taken..

    i can’ t understand why there is such a difference between test and demo

    demo is better than backtest…   numbers of candles is inconsistent between both

    ?

    Is spread setting on backtest same as being used on Demo Forward Test?

    yes

    furthermore, some positions are missing.

    i would like someone prove to me whatever the strategy on 1s, that it takes exactly the same positions in demo and backtest. if the position reaches the sl being given the spread, ok, but missing positions or 1000 candles more on one position, it’s completely crazy..

    i hope that it’s just a problem on my side..  otherwise what is the point of making automatic strategies on small TF.. ?

    Just double check that you started the Demo Forward Test on 1 sec TF?

    I’ve done it before … started Systems  on different TF’s than I intended … quick click of the mouse and all that.
