DJI Massive Spike but IG Locked UP!

    Anybody else got this … I had 3 x 2 lot manual trades all set up going the right way (with the spike) but IG can’t / didn’t close them at the TP levels. They are showing even bigger gains now!

    I can’t even deal on the IG New Platform!

    Above is on Demo … anybody else experience similar (or even on Live)?

    I can’t open new trades on the IG OLD Platform (Demo) either … so the Issue is wider than just the PRT Platform.

    How long did the lock up last?

    In my experience during volatile moves it can take up to a minute for an order to get through. Logging out and back in has worked before but maybe that was just part of the waiting time.

    Another problem is the old “price not available anymore” rejection that sometimes happens with at market orders. But then again things are fine with some patience…

    Hi Grahal,

    did anything ever come of this?

    Tonight there was a 1% drop on the e-mini at about 00:15. I sure can tell you that I got locked out of my position.

    I did not contact IG as it was on my Demo Platform.

    Maybe it’s due to loads of clients trying to close trades after a spike??
