Hello,
On my MacBook, I am able to use ProRealTime with Push Datastream without any problems. However, on my PC I am unable to chose anything other than Standard Stream. When I chose Push or Push Comfort it still remains on Standard. I tried reinstalling and that didn’t help. My PC is new with windows 8.1 64bit, 16GB of Ram and quad core i7 processor. The PRT computer performance test showed a total score of 128, processor 151, memory 108, rendering 121.
I’m using PRT v10.3 from IG broker.
With the same connection? Wifi or cable?
When I chose Push or Push Comfort
Where are you selecting above … please post a screen shot of the settings.
I cant recall ever having to select anything similar?
@Nicolas its my PC at work, its a wired network connection.
@GraHal its not in the settings. You click on the green “Push Data” button on the top left. Mine is always stuck on “Pull Data”
So you mean that the connection is different between 2 different places? Or do you connect from your MAC at work too?
@Nicolas They are different connections. I use my MacBook at home, and my PC in my office. Do you think the problem is network performance or could it be a firewall issue? When I run Speedtest.net it shows speeds Between 10 and 18Mbps which is very fast.
Yes, there must be something that make that difference when you are at work. I cannot help more sorry. You should send a technical report to PRT, they should be able to analyze why there is such a difference.
Thanks for your help @Nicolas I will send a report to PRT. Have a good day.
Mine is always stuck on “Pull Data”
Ah yeah mine is on Push -top one.
Anybody know what the 2nd one – Push Comfort Datastream looks like when compared to the top one? What is prioritises visual comfort … what will I see as a difference??
@grahal you can click it to chose it and see for yourself. This is how I view it, I don’t know the actual times, but this is how it feels like to me.
-Push Datastream (ticks come in immediately as they happen across each open instrument)
-Push comfort (a few ticks are grouped together, so its not as ‘hyper’ as Push)
-Pull Datasream (ticks are updated every second or slightly longer)
Good day
When doing a Performance scan, what are the ideal numbers that you would like to see for:
Processor score?
Memory score?
Rendering score?
I normally have a “Push status” but this week I have had a “pull status”.
I have gone through all the checks and made the recommended changes but there has been no change in the datastream speed.
