I’ve been experiencing extremely low ProBackTest times since last Monday.

I have tried to close and reopen my platform, aven after shutting down my PC, the turning it back on, but ProBackTest is still way too slow!

Any reason on IG/ProRealTime side ?

Interesting, I experienced exceptionally slow backtest speeds for the last 6 weeks (along with some other issues) but that all corrected last night! As of now, everything seems to be back to normal again at least on my side.

I’ve had very slow backtest for a week or more.

PRT throttling back on server time??

I optimise over 10K bars and then do an OOS backtest over 100K bars 🙂

If you are with IG, then blame IG servers, just saying .. 🙄

Gotcha!  … I thought backtesting was undertaken on PRT servers regardless  of which broker the user is with?

Problem is the same as for the lack of performance/reliability of the demo servers @ IG.

The next broker, if any,  will have an easy game!

The main issue is that I’m asking myself whether I must complain because backtesting is so slow now or because it was about 10 times faster last week making me think the performance was randomly calculated?!?!

There are actually a lot of upgraded made to prepare the path to the official release of the new engine that embed MTF. It should be available for all IG customers by Wednesday (theoretically).

If the problem persist after that, I encourage to make a report with the associated code, in order for ITF to make speed comparison between the old and the new engine and eventually find hidden potential problem.
