I have currently VIP access (for testing purpose) to new improvements made to the backtest engine of Prorealtime.
Because a lot of people are awaiting this, and because I answer soooo many questions about the new tick/tick backtest of ProBacktest, I let you know that it’s working ‘almost’ perfectly to my own tests so far.
Please don’t ask me ‘when?’ about the public release, because I really don’t know. But you should expect it in the next few weeks @prorealtime.com / Beta 10.3.
You’ll find attached glimpses of the same ProOrder code tested with and without the new tick backtest engine. It speaks for itself.
Hi Nicolas,
I have just downloaded the 10.3 beta version of prorealtime but there’s not the tickbytick option.
Is it in an exclusive version for betatester?
Thanks for now.
Regards
I have VIP access of development version. I’ll try to show more examples of tick backtests ASAP.

Hello Nicolas ,
do you know how far crude oil data goes back in tick by tick version?
The same as the actual version.
This is excellent news Nicolas and its great to see that users concerns and requests have been addressed by the developers.
I completely stopped using PRT backtesting, but will again start to look at my ideas once the update is released.
The screenshots you’ve supplied showing the old version Vs the tick backtesting (beta) are a great example of just how different the backtesting results were from ‘real’ trading.
Looking forwards to your updates.
Thanks
