Very simple but effective code.
Many strategies use bullish or bearish engulfing.
ENGULFING = 0
IF close > open AND close > high[1] AND open < low[1] THEN
ENGULFING = 1
ENDIF
IF close < open AND close < low[1] AND open > high[1] THEN
ENGULFING = -1
ENDIF
return ENGULFING

// screener[ENGULFING]
