UNI-Renko possible in ProRealCode?

  As Renko bars, the difference between consecutive highs in case of green bars is the same as the difference between two consecutive UniRenko bars of the same brick size. In case of reversal in UniRenko bars, the value specified in Tick Reversal is the value price has to move from the open of the most recent bar to form a reversal candle. The default or standard value for tick reversal is 4 times your brick size. In our case, our brick size is 100 (Note: the value you put here is multiplied by a minimum tick size of the underlying instrument which in our case is 0.05) which is 100*0.05 = 5 points.

  Assume that the latest bar formed is green bar and the price is 11900. Now unless the price moves by 5 points higher, no new green bar would be formed and unless the price moves by 20 points (Tick reversal = 400 = 400*0.05 = 20 points) below from the current price, no new red bar would be formed.

  Comparison

  1. UniRenko chart looks visually appealing than Renko chart
  2. UniRenko chart has more customizability than Renko chart which would help in manipulating the basic advantage of Renko charts which is a sole dependency on price, to preform and implement complex strategies on price.
  3. UniRenko chart has tails as they show wicks of the candles, unlike Renko chart where we only see high and low or price range to be precise.
  4. One of the major advantages of the UniRenko chart is even being only price dependent, it shows gaps in the price that occur between trading sessions. This feature gives UniRenko a significant edge over Renko charts because in most of the analysis platforms Renko charts don’t show gaps.

  Final Thoughts

  Traders use Renko to reduce noise from the price movement which you otherwise get in a traditional candlestick chart. Renko charts visually a clear direction of the trend, key support & resistance level and failed breakouts. UniRenko does all that and some more. UniRenko is the clear winner here with a significant edge over Renko.

  Hi.

   

  Wonder what have you found regarding uni-renko? From what I was able to find its not available and not sure if possible to code. Compared to the amount of different bar type the NT has for example PRT really looks to be years behind. Also I’ve read your previous posts regarding MA angle and I’am also interested in this subject but haven’t found any PRT solution again which is easy as 123 on NT. Not even talking about putting indicators on different bar type charts which only PRT 11 does and which elsewhere was available for ages. Anyway not to hijack your thread let me know what you was able to find.

  Hi, does anyone know if this feature is already possible in PRT?

  I have seen another post to put it on price, but that is not what i want, i don’t want to see it on price but “pure” on the chart.

  Avec ce produit est il possible de récupérer les paramètres (valeurs du cube renko, valeur des MM…) pour les introduire soit dans un screener, soit dans un code à lancer en automatique ?

  Ou ce produit affiche uniquement les différents paramètres que sur le graphique (renko, MM, etc) ? Et c’est donc que visuel.

  Non, ce code ne renvoi pas les valeurs pour être exploité dans un code ProOrder ou dans un screener. Il est purement visuel et dédié au trading en live.

  Je voudrais savoir comment écrire la condition pour qu’une box renko s’affiche, soit dessinée, et ne plus disparaitre du graphique, car le problème est que par exemple en TF 5mn, une box peut apparaitre sur le graphique mais tant que la bougie 5mn n’est pas terminée (les variables qui ont servi à dessiner la box sont mise à jour à la fin de la bougie) elle peut aussi disparaitre si le prix invalide la condition de sa création. Je ne sais pas si tu vois ce que je veux dire ?

  En fait, c’est le problème que j’ai avec la création des mes box renko hors temps. Mais même si on utilise les renko de la plateforme, on voit bien que dès qu’on monte dans les ut, les box ne s’affichent que si la bougie temps de la même ut est terminée. Comment contourner cela par du code ?

  Hello Nicolas, I would like to know how to write the condition so that a renko box is displayed, is drawn, and no longer disappears from the graph, because the problem is that for example in TF 5mn, a box can appear on the graph but both that the 5 minute candle is not finished (the variables which were used to draw the box are updated at the end of the candle) it can also disappear if the price invalidates the condition of its creation. But even if we use the platform’s renko, we can clearly see that as soon as we go up in the ut, the boxes are only displayed if the time candle of the same ut has ended.
