IRP – Please always use the ‘Insert PRT Code’ button when posting code to make it easier for others to read.

I have tidied up your post for you 🙂

P.S. That is quite slow internet but it is also about the quality of the connection such as how often it drops the connection.

The simple code I used follows for your review

Your code works for me … no error message etc … see attached.

Works fine also for me. Try to change the name of the strategy (sounds weird, but please try!).

is there a link on how to change the name of the program as per code above?  Also, I reinstalled PRT to no avail .. error still remains.  🙁

    Hello Nicolas,

Tried as per your suggestion to change the program name and no joy.  Odd thing is that the internet speed is the same as when I used to use PRT without any problem.  Am also using PRT on same computer that used previously with PRT.

When I proceed to backtest the program, a dialog box pops up informing that the backtesting is taking place … but then the error message appears.

Other people have been kind enough to comment and report that they have this problem when the internet speed is slow, but I am the only user of this ISP with 100 mbps.

Kind of at a loss as to what to do from hereon.  Is it possible to try another version of PRT?  BTW, when did version 10.3 come on stream?

    Thanks

What was the old name of your System and what did you amend the name to?

We need to explore everything as each of us think of things.

Do you get the error message when you backtest over 25 bars only?

The 1st one was called MyStem and the 2nd was called Test 1

    Hello All,

The problem was solved by changing the time zone settings … now it working like a charm.  Just wanted to report back in case anyone else ever has this problem.
