Strategies 'Stopping'

    I have some strategies running in live test on my Demo account and I just noticed that three of them are shown as ‘Stopping’ with the stop and delete buttons faded out. I have not seen this before. They are all on the DAX and it is the weekend so that market is closed. Can anyone explain what this ‘Stopping’ means?

    I haven’t had it for a while, but I used to get it a lot. Maybe I’ve not had for a while due to not using my Demo account since last summer until last 2 or 3 weeks.

    It’s as you say … while the market is closed they are stopping and when the market opens then they will stop fully.

    But what caused them to go into stopping mode … tried to open a Trade (more than 12 times) after  market closed and so got Rejected maybe??

    The reason for the stop seems unclear as the orders list just shows ‘An unexpected error occurred’ as the reason.

    Maybe a time and day filter would solve the issue. I find it frustrating trying to diagnose these sort of stoppages with zero info to work on except for guesswork.

    I just noticed that all three strategies that stopped had SELL AT  x  STOP exits.

    using stoporders to open and close positions out of hours on dax for example could be a problem, i only use market orders out of hours

    not to confuse anyone “set stoploss” (on IG server) works always

    OK I checked my emails but I had not counted on my girlfriend tidying up our email box and deciding to delete emails that I had not read yet! She is not normally this tidy! Your reply was in the ‘Deleted Items’ folder. Thank you for the reply.

    PRT said that my strategies were stopped due to wrong info from IG and that a work around would be in the next update to solve the issue. I do not know if your strategy is stopping for the same reason but maybe the next update will solve this problem for you too.
