Optimizer Report Inconsistencies

When I backtest, I like to see the results displayed in the Optimizer Report. However, the way this behaves is very inconsistent –  at least for me – and I can’t work out how to get reproducible results. Sometime, when I am backtesting the same strategy for several different instruments, I see the results consolidated on the SAME optimizer report. This is extremely useful when trying to create a strategy that suits many different instruments. However, I cannot seem to get the optimizer report to behave the same way all the time. Most of the time, when I click the ‘backtest’ button, a brand new optimizer report is displayed, it’s just sometimes when switching between instruments, I manage to get all the results on the same display.

Is anyone aware of how to do this consistently – or alternatively where I can find out more information about the way the ProRealTime platform behaves in regards to the Optimizer Report panel?

I have just tried several times to get the platform to produce an example of a multi-instrument report, but can’t seem to get one right now. I’ll keep trying and post an example here…..
