    Yes I’ve got  10.3 – 1.80_45 also dated 5 Mar 18.

I have noticed Backtests seems faster / much faster in the last few days!?  I didn’t want to say until a few more days had elapsed.

After PRT has been open a while and I’ve done a few backtests and such like then it is like PRT doesn’t release RAM (even after closing backtest window etc)?  I get that ‘jerky thing’ 🙂 when typing etc and other issues when RAM is low?

If I close PRT when it is using around 2. 5GB RAM and then reopen then all is good (no jerky stuff) and RAM used by PRT is around 1GB … for a while until RAM usage builds up again.  Anybody else getting this?

I am not complaining one bit as a fast backtest is great!

I can always buy more RAM!

    Cheers

See attached as an example of PRT increasing RAM during backtest / optimise and does not release RAM even after the backtest window is closed down.

If I have PRT open for ages, but I don’t do any backtests / optimise then the RAM sits around 1GB (2nd image).

My work around (until I get more RAM) is I close my PRT Platform  each time after a backtest / optimise session!

I am using the Java version (NOT via the .exe launcher) I have done loads of backtest / optimise at very acceptable speeds, fast even (I need to time them) and my RAM usage has not gone over 1.1GB … see attached!

So that proves that the PRT L:auncher needs work doing on it  re Hogging RAM and not releasing RAM etc … because the Java version doesn’t does not Hog Ram.

In my opinion there is not difference in speed between PRT Launcher and the Java version … for me the Java version is faster!

With the Java version the RAM even drops back to below 0.9GB … something the Launcher version never did!

On the Launcher the RAM stays close to the maximum that it drifts up to (2.5GB for me) and in my opinion this is one reason the PRT Platform becomes unresponsive after it has completed intensive tasks?

Also with the Java version it doesn’t seem to matter how many Charts you have open, the RAM does not go above 1.1GB.
