Monitor Funds trough PRT or IG

    Hello

    Is there a way to monitor account funds through the PRT or IG platform? Ideally, it would be useful to track fund status while trading multiple instruments simultaneously. It would also be helpful to have alerts when funds exceed or drop below a certain amount, or to automatically close trades via PRT when funds surpass or fall below a specified threshold.

    Yes using the link below when logged into IG

    You will get emails from IG when you have a negative fund balance and IG will close you out when your negative balance gets to -50% of total funds.

    Yes, they notify about margin calls, but what about if the funds increase by a certain amount? For example, if you have three different instruments open and want to close them out when the sum of these trades reaches a specific profit or loss.

    Can’t be done as each trade operates in isolation.

    Only way I can think of is to use the IG App on your phone and keep checking the ‘Funds Balance’ regularly and even more often when the sum of these trades is nearing your specific overall profit or loss.

    On the desktop :
    – Main Menu
    – Trading
    – Order List (or similar)

    But this is a bit obvious, right ?
    (still, a few years ago this did not exist for PRT-IG)

    Yes good reminder Peter, I also use this.

    I assumed (may have made an ass out of me 😉 ) that Abz is asking for when he is away from his PC as he asks for an Alert etc.
