Manually trading an auto strategy

  Hey Gar,

  if anybody can answer a question on system strategy, i thinking your the man!

  Unrelated to the above post. I can’t seem to find the correct way to post my questions, possibly as i’m a junior member, i have no access!

  I’m looking to,
  From a BB strategy i have running and placing trades on an inter day basis,
  Then take control of the live positions, either stopping the system if i must! transferring the to manual position and then adding a trailing stop/step and partially closing positions as i see fit.

  is this possible without stopping the system/ strategy and therefore the position closing on me?

  Yes I do it often, mainly when I feel that the code would exit but I can see that it is due to a Fib retrace and so will reverse back into profit etc.

  You need to go onto the IG Platform and add or change the Limit or Stop and as soon as you click out of the value box the value will go green and then the System will no longer be Automated but the position will continue as a manual trade.

  The Auto-System will stop when the IG box value goes green so you will need to start the Auto-System again if / when you want to.

  @UkCoopDownUnder – I have split your question from where you posted it as it was not relevant to that topic. I have also moved it to the correct forum – which is the ProOrder forum for strategy questions.

  You have no restrictions as a junior member. Just make sure that you are logged in to the forums and then click on the forum that you want to post in – scan down to the bottom of the page and create your topic and hit submit. Make sure you have given it a title otherwise it won’t be posted.
