Limit order vs Market order

Anyone using limit orders? Has it helped alot vs real life slippage (backtest not so good at catching that) Been toying around with limit orders vs market orders and was wondering if anyone has researched it proper for forex and or stock index? (For CFD, IG, PRT) We have all heard about “market orders get fucked 10/10 times by HFT”, and with limit orders u cannot be fucked because its a limit order. Its either that price or nothing. Which also causes the risk of not being filled..

I “heard” that limit orders are filled faster than market ones with IG with ProOrder. Can’t be totally sure of that because I never made a deep analysis of it.
