Hi,
Is there a simple way to get daily charts to refer to the 16h30 close, say for FTSE? or the 2100h close for SPX?
Just asking before I delve into (probably – hopefully!) unnecessarily complicated coding to isolate official closes…
Many thanks for any clues!

Hi Rufus,
If you only want to show a price at a certain time, you can use the following as an example…
DefParam DrawOnLastBarOnly=true
If OpenTime=163000 then
x16h30Close=Close
x16h30Low=Low
x16h30BarIndex=BarIndex
EndIf
DrawText("#x16h30Close#", x16h30BarIndex,x16h30Low,SansSerif,Bold,20)
Return
Thanks.. tried adding that by creating a new indicator, but nothing happens! Almost certainly user incompetence…
My goal is simply to be able to isolate the daily price at a certain time – say 16h30 – on any time frame and use that price to make projections.
The price from IG that DClose(0) refers to is not the real or official close, but the close at 23h59 (as far as I know).

Hi,
You have to add the indicator to the price, click on the price at the top left of the chart and then “add indicator”…
As for the time frames, the time frame should be able to display your chosen time…
For example, if your time is 235900 (23h59) then you MUST use a time frame which can display this time so maximum time frame 1 minute…
