Incorrect timeframe on Dow and Nas

  Hi, my PRT Dow and Nas charts are showing different timeframe increments to what I would like (See attached).

  The 4HR is showing candles in 1am, 5am, 9am, etc sequence rather than 4am, 8am, 12 etc. I am UK time.

  My other charts seem ok, just mainly the Dow and Nas, I’ve been through the settings but unable to resolve.

  Any assistance appreciated. Thank you.

  Mine is set to … Display all data in the Timezone set  on my computer.

  But anyway, now I look my 4 hour bars open at   1am, 5am, 9am, etc sequence.

  If you  want 4 Hour to open at 12, 4, 8 etc then you need to select … Display all date in Timezone UTC-1.

  Hi GraHal – Might be worth mentioning I am using a Macbook.

  Thanks for your advice, I have tried your suggestion, screenshots enclosed but hasn’t fixed the problem unfortunately. Also restarted platform.

  Are you selecting / using as attached at red arrowhead?

  I just did as attached and it shifted my 4 hour  bar … back by 1 hour.

  Are you going File > Quit > Save and Exit (Timezone settings have to be saved before Exit)

  Hi, if you want to apply timezone settings to everything, it is like GraHal showed in the last post above, because this would apply to all in the list, not just the one in the sublist (you tried with “Shares US”?).

  If you want to apply the timezone change to only one type of market from the sublist, then you need to pick the one the asset belongs to for your broker in the sublist. In your DJI chart top bar, you’d need to click on the little “i” inside a square located just after your “200 units” box, this will open a window with details such as “Code: DJI, Market: indices other, etc…” (see image attached). Not sure what yours would be in case it’s different for UK spreadbet lists, for me it’s “indices other” and this is the one to choose in the sublist before applying the UTC+00:00 timezone.

  Funny thing is … on my Spreadbet Account (SB) I cannot – as yet – get my 4 Hour bars on US Indices to end at 12 pm and 4 pm etc!

  Despite even using JC_Bywan settings – my US Indices 4 Hour bars on SB Account end at 1 pm and 5 pm!

  On my CFD Account my US Indices 4 Hour bars end at 12pm and 4pm … with the same settings I use on my SB Account.

  What do other UK users get for end time of US Indices 4 Hours bars on your SB Account?

  Hmm, my post disappeared. Maybe my own fault. So again :

  Compare with a 5m TF which you want to let work upon 2 minutes past, 7 past, 12 past etc.; that can not be done (with 1mTF yes but this is not the subject).

  A market starting at 09:00 (for me, and Europe) can not be caught with a 4hour TF. You, Grahal, won’t catch it either (10:00 for you). In Hungary (if I am correct) they can, because over there it will be 08:00 at that moment.

  The 5 minute thing is a global thing. That 4 hours start at 00:00 somewhere is also a global thing. No issue with a 1Hr timeframe anywhere, unless India and the like.
  Now ask yourself what PRT used for the base of 00:00. I don’t know …

  I’ve only got a Spreadbet account atm, and I get the same candles as you: 1pm, 5pm etc
