IG PRT assets

  Hello everyone, i would like to know if PRT via IG includes only assets available on IG or it’s like having a stand-alone Premium PRT with every asset available on the platform.

  For example, if i would like to use PRT via IB, it will be the same as PRT via IG (apart from proorder functionalities that are not available yet)?

  No, not the same. I use both IB and IG and the assets are more different than the same.

  If you have particular assets in mind I could look for you (but tell me where to look, IG or IB).

   

  PS: Contract amounts are also often different, if the asset is the same.

  Understood, thanks for the answer. If it’s possible in the same topic then i would like to do another question: how can i use PRT on an already opened IB account? Thorugh the PRT website i can only create a new account.

  Call (not write) your local (Italy) support and ask for PRT sponsored account with IG. This can be arranged for quite fast because most of the (your personal) data known with PRT can be used to open an account with IG. I don’t recall that I had to do much for it – maybe fill out one small form.
  The account with IG is for free and most equities can be traded without further subscription. Don’t ask me about Futures or Gold etc. (although that too I could look at). One thing : if you don’t execute 4 trades per month (I’d say two entries and two exists = 4) then IG charges you 30 euros for that month.

  Nope, i was talking about IB, not IG. I already have an IB account and i would like to use PRT via IB, how can i request the access? Just talking with the support?

  Haha, you lost me.
  Yes, you can still ask support. But I think this should all have gone automated (the PRT webpages asking you to fill out forms). Apparently it did not. So have that call …

  Expect 4 weeks before you are live. Maybe 3. This is all IB scrutiny related.
