Apologies if this question has been asked before, I have been unable to find the answer.
I have written a strategy which opens multiple positions in the direction of the trend. Each position has a trailing stop associated with it. How do I calculate the current “open risk” , or exposure, on the whole position, i.e the difference between the current price (or last close price) and the level of each trailing stop? I would like to use this total exposure value as part of determining whether to open further positions.
