Hi Nicolas, I know this question was asked 100 times but I’m really growing impatient and tired of all the bugs and limitations of PRT. I was always hoping for a new version to pop up to solve at least some of all the problems. But now it got so bad that I almost think everyday of leaving PRT and start developing in Matlab or Python.  Have you heard anything more concrete about a new PRT version and what it vill cover?

    Hi,

Don’t have all details, but new data engine is due this month while multi timeframe and multi instrument should be ok in January. All new features always come first to prorealtime software and broker’s version in the weeks after. Even if a changelog is not edited for small changes, updates are made regularly, but all bug fixes and new features don’t always concern coders and automated traders!

I know that time flies when discussing things and others on a forum. But that’s not the same at all for a private company that develops and enhances software that thousands of customers use, with all the constraints one can imagine.
The software is 15 years old, the data engine was completely recreated during the year to allow future evolutions, apart from being patient I do not see anything else to add … 🙂

Hi Nicolas,  Thanks for the update on the next version, my biggest bugbear is and always has been the inability of strategies to be able to see the value of all open positions making proper risk and money management impossible.  With the coming of multi-timeframe will we be getting this functionality with the next version as well?
