Can I use the same system on CFD vs.SB

  Hi guys, pardon of this is obvious.

  in essence: Would a CFD trading system yield the same result if applied on the spreadbet market?

  I would think so, perhaps a small bar difference in spread?

  Backtest you say; the system is bought and I can not upload it to PRT-spreadbet again due copyright restrictions.

  I agree, but in the past there have been quite marked differences … I guess it depends on the strategy?

  Are you seeing big differences?

  Explain to the Seller of Algo and see if they will release another Algo to you as it is only a technicality surely?

  Should be exactly the same

  One thing thats different is how they quote forex,

  CFD 1,40000   SB 14 000,1 and that can be a problem sometimes

  Cheers guys, thanks for the answers. No forex involved. The father of the algo is not interested in applying it on the SB market as there are no benefits for him to do that given his tax regime in Sweden. In the U.K. the tax free benefits are obvious.

  I have back tested a demo robot on my live SB account and the same algo on my demo CFD account with very similar results, but not exactly. The end result was within 1% profit. I’ve read elsewhere that there might be differences comparing demo and live data? I think I’ll just give it a go. The markets use the same chart code.
